Any visible sign that can serve to distinguish the goods of natural person, legal person, or other organization from those of another, including any word, design, letter of the alphabet, numeral, three-dimensional symbol and color combination, or any combination of the above, can be made a trademark for application for registration.
Multi-class applications are not permitted by China Trade Mark Office (CTMO), therefore it is required to file a single mark with designated specified goods or service in single-class for a single application for registration.
The period of validity of a registered trademark shall be TEN years, from the registration approval date. And trademark registration is renewable indefinitely for further period of TEN years.
