The survey of ALB Yangtze River Delta Rising Lawyers covers four regions: Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui, and aims to select the young lawyers who are under the age of 40 or have no more than 15 years of legal professional experience, and are rapidly growing into the industry leaders. Candidates can be of any nationality, but need to be based in Yangtze River Delta currently. The appraisal is based on the candidates’ outstanding achievements, important deals or cases, major work in the last 12 months, significant clients, accolades, client comments and peer reviews. Mr. Wang graduated from Jilin University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and technology and earned a master's degree in medicinal chemistry from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences and a master's degree in law from Shanghai University. Over the past years, Mr. Wang has represented nearly 1,000 domestic patent applications and PCT international patent applications, and hundreds of foreign patent applications, involving the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, South Korea, India, Canada, Australia and other countries. In addition, he has represented dozens of patent reexaminations and patent invalidation cases. He has also successfully represented many patent litigation cases in the chemical engineering and pharmaceutical fields with a winning rate of over 80% including the patent administrative litigation cases held in the Supreme People’s Court of The People’s Republic of China. Furthermore, he has led the team to complete dozens of large-scale FTO investigations, and patentability analysis and appraisal projects. He has also led teams to help several well-known venture capital funds to conduct pre-investment legal & IP due diligence, evaluate or eliminate investment risks for the high-tech enterprises to be invested in. Mr. Wang has served hundreds of well-known pharmaceutical companies and organizations. In addition, Mr. Wang has been actively engaged in intellectual property training lectures and speeches in Chinese or English which are up to nearly one hundred.
In 2019, he was awarded the Silver Award for Best Lecturers by Shanghai Intellectual Property Service Association.
In 2020, he was awarded “Outstanding Figure in the IP Industry of Shanghai” by Shanghai Intellectual Property Service Association.
In 2021, he was awarded the prize of "Service Talents" by Shanghai Intellectual Property.
In 2022, he was awarded “Yangtze River Delta IP elite” by Yangtze River Delta Intellectual Property Development Alliance.
In 2022, he was nominated for Young Lawyer of the Year East China- Local by Asian Legal Business.
